Management accounting app for an international trading group
Group figures consolidated across legal entities and currencies — instead of weeks of manual work in spreadsheets.
Problem
The group built its management reporting by hand, from exports out of several accounting systems. The month-end close took up to ten days, figures disagreed between offices, and nobody kept a history of adjustments.
Legal entities in three countries, three currencies, different accounting systems
Consolidation in spreadsheets: errors and competing versions of the “final” file
Management sees the numbers weeks late
Solution
We built a web application for management accounting: one chart of accounts for the group, automatic data collection from the accounting systems, currency conversion, and an approval flow for adjustments.
One chart of accounts and one set of reporting dimensions for the group
Automatic imports from 1C and bank statements
Currency conversion and intercompany eliminations
Adjustments go through approval, with full change history
